Dinner at my Dads

Saturday we headed back down to Kemah for another fun filled afternoon with Lana. It was also our 2nd wedding anniversary on Monday so my dad made us a cake. Sassy was excited to see us again as well. We give her so much attention when she comes to stay with us it makes for a bad transition when she goes back to my dads.

Lana and Family came to town!

The hubster and I headed down to Kemah on Friday and Saturday evening for dinner with the parents since my sister/her husband/and Lana came into town before heading down the Virgin Islands. We always have a great time with Lana and getting to see how much she has grown. One day we will make great parents as well.

Around the Apt on a Sunday

Right now we claim home in a one bed room apartment. I don't know how many people have tried to live with someone else in a one bedroom, but at least hear we don't do to well with keeping it clean and organized all the time. With Sassy being in town she decided to try and help us with our laundry, the sad part is that is all our clean laundry I am just to lazy to fold, lol. That is my task today.

So instead of picking up in the morning I headed out on our nice patio with some pancakes to enjoy my morning. Sassy and I got to watch some army helicopters fly over, watch some robins land on our railing, and then it got a little cold for sassy so we cuddled to keep warm.

A very stress free non-productive morning, but I enjoyed it.

Spelling errors

In all the blogs below you will have to look past the spelling errors. For some reason this last week this site has been giving me troubles about posting and then going back and editing posts. So sorry but you are stuck with my bad spelling ways.

Home Sweet Home

The Hubster and I try to enjoy some time out on our patio when we can, especially now before it gets to hot outside. We have planted many different herds and even have a baby red bud tree, which the Hubster is attempting to turn into a bonzi tree...lol. This week Sassy have enjoyed time on the patio with us.

This is how we should be able to spend every Friday night.

I know most who read this don't drink, but Drew and I have found a wonderful new rum we both enjoy. I felt the best place for a picture would be next to our SFA bird house, where the love of rum began.

A dogs workout

Every Friday morning I volunteer at an assisted living and teach a 30 minute light weight lifting class. I have been going every Friday for over a year and when Sassy is in town she gets to come along as well.

This was after class so most had ventured back to their room but a few women stuck around the play with Sassy.

Sassy.....

We enjoy getting to watch Sassy whenever we can. Since we still live in an apartment we have not given in to getting a pet and of course no children yet so it is nice to have something extra to love over and spoil. Sassy has been spending the last week with us and we have had many adventures so far.

Sunday evening she cracked two of her toe nails walking around the the Steely's house so now we call her stubby.

Thankfully Sassy is always a happy dogs and never barks to much.

Though she has this toy my dad calls baby and she decided to give it pierced ears. lol, better the toy then our shoes.

Mother's Day Weekend

Hubster and the wife headed down to Kemah on Friday to visit with my mom and grab dinner with my dad before he headed off to California for a week. We got to have out with our number one nephew and of course the dog we love, Sassy. We got to bring Sassy home with us and we are watching her till the 17th until my dad makes it back into town.

Sunday we went with the whole Steely klan to the Downtown Aquarium for Mother's day dinner.

What I do on my breaks...

For the past three months I have loved working at LA Fitness as a personal trainer and having a more flexible schedule. About a month ago I found I great park right around the corner where I now eat my lunch and get in a good walk/workout before I head back for my afternoon shift. It is a great place to think and spend a little time with nature.

First Set Sent Off

So in my first post I mentioned how I wanted to keep my grandparents in better touch with what the Steely family is up to. I can successfully say that yesterday I mailed of my first news letter. Now w will just have to see how long I can keep it up.

Passmore's Baby Room

The Hubster put his amazing painting skills to work on his first baby room. His sister is expecting a baby in August, though her and her husband are playing the guessing game so the room had to be gender neutral. I think it was a job well done!
